Work from home policy

1. Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to define the company’s guidelines regarding work-from-home arrangements. The company generally follows a work-from-office model to ensure proper coordination, supervision, productivity, and team collaboration.

2. Eligibility
Work from home may be allowed only in exceptional cases and only after prior written approval from the management or authorized reporting manager.

3. Approval Requirement
Employees must submit a formal work-from-home request by email in advance, clearly mentioning the reason, duration, and work plan. Work from home will be considered approved only after written approval is received from management.

Verbal discussions, informal messages, or assumptions will not be treated as approval.

4. Unauthorized Work From Home
If an employee works from home without prior written approval, the absence from office may be treated as unauthorized leave or Leave Without Pay, as per company policy.

5. Employee Responsibility During Work From Home
During approved work from home, the employee must:

  • Remain available during official working hours.
  • Attend calls, meetings, and discussions as required.
  • Respond to official emails and messages on time.
  • Complete assigned work within the expected timelines.
  • Maintain regular communication with the reporting manager/team.
  • Ensure confidentiality of company data and client information.

6. Management Rights
The company reserves the right to approve, reject, modify, or withdraw work-from-home permission at any time based on business requirements, performance, project needs, team coordination, or any other operational reason.

7. Office Reporting Requirement
If management asks an employee to report to the office, the employee must join the office immediately or as instructed. Failure to report may result in further action as per company policy.

8. Misuse of Work From Home
Any misuse of work-from-home permission, lack of communication, non-performance, non-availability, or failure to complete assigned responsibilities may lead to cancellation of work-from-home approval and further disciplinary action.

9. Final Decision
The final decision regarding work-from-home approval will remain with the company management.L
